I’m so fortunate I found Dr. Marianne Legato through a referral. Have been a patient of Dr. Legato’s for 12 years and I’ve never looked back. She is brilliant, extremely compassionate, dedicated and always up to date on medical advancements. A terrific office staff as well who are efficient, personable and professional at all times. The BEST internist anyone can have!!

After my wife, Dorothy, of 40 years passed away in 2010, her last wish was for me to go to the doctor and take care of myself. My wife had a muscle disease and I had taken care of her almost the entire time we were married and had neglected my own health. My internist had recently decided to leave his practice and go into medical research, and I did not have a doctor at the time. My friend, Bob, recommended that I go to Dr. Marianne Legato, who was an old friend of his. My friend, Bob, described Dr. Legato as “someone who was extremely thorough” and if there was anything wrong with me “ Marianne will definitely find it”.
Bob and my wife, Dorothy were both correct. It turned out that I had heart problems, prostate cancer, and diabetes – a trifecta of illness – and did not know it.
Under Dr. Legato’s direction, with the help of her great health care team of doctors, a nutritionist, and a physical therapist, and my dogs Cookie and A.J., I am now living a healthy and productive life at 81 years of age. My heart problems have gone away as has my prostrate cancer. I am managing my diabetes.
In addition to being a world class doctor, the characteristics that come to mind when I think of Marianne are a humanitarian, has a giving nature, and is quite selfless. Friendships, affection, and love are extremely important to Marianne and she actively involves herself in her patients lives.
